CREATIVITY FOR CLINICIANS
Creativity for Clinicians is a 15-hour CEU course (offered ONLINE or LIVE) for counselors, social workers and mental health professionals with an interest in learning about or building their knowledge of creative interventions. Learn new innovative interventions to help even your most resistant clients express themselves.

Experience creative, interactive, hands-on training that will re-energize your work. You will gain fresh new creative arts strategies and approaches that you can use immediately to engage even your most difficult and challenging clients.
You will utilize a working case conceptualization to help us understand how we work with clients to identify what expressive interventions could be most beneficial to healing, integrating, or just becoming “unstuck.”

COURSE FORMAT
COURSE LENGTH

Our LIVE Creativity for Clinicians course is 15 hours long, taken over 2 days. In order to best fit your needs, it may be offered all in two days or over four shorter sessions. You can also take this course ONLINE.

ACTIVITIES
​
Active and engaged learning helps you get involved with the material and relating what you learn to real-life applications. Role plays, discussion topics, arts-based experientials, engaging exercises, and other fun activities keep you engaged in the course and give you an opportunity to practice new skills.

ENVIRONMENT
​
Experience LIVE or ONLINE training options! One or two certified instructors from the Center for Creative Arts Therapy lead each course and follow a national curriculum and teaching standards, while emphasizing hope for healing. Classes usually consist of 30 people or less and are offered in a safe, respectful and comfortable learning environment.
*PLEASE NOTE: This training does NOT certify or license you as a mental health professional, psychologist, counselor, social worker or drama, art, music, art or expressive arts therapist. You will need to earn a masters degree from an accredited school of higher education, fulfill all practicum and internship requirements, and pass a national or state licensing exam (depending on your chosen profession and state licensing laws).

Register for our once-a-year Creativity for Clinicians course at the Center for Creative Arts Therapy and attend from the comfort of your own home. You will be able to engage with other students, ask the instructor questions, and take part in the creation and sharing of multiple creative interventions.

This workshop is experiential in nature. No arts experience is necessary, just an openness to try something creative.
