Improv for Therapists is a dynamic course tailored to therapists seeking innovative approaches to enhance their therapeutic skills. Through the principles of improvisational theater, participants will learn to cultivate spontaneity, creativity, and flexibility in therapeutic interactions. This experiential course integrates theory with practical exercises, providing counselors with tools to navigate uncertainty, promote client engagement, and foster authentic connections in the therapeutic process.

Understand the foundational principles of improvisational theater and their application to therapeutic practice.

Utilize improvisational techniques, such as "yes, and..." and status play, to enhance communication and collaboration in therapy sessions.

Center for Creative Arts Therapy has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7460. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Center for Creative Arts Therapy is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
